GH5 II and GH6 Discussed! (LIVE Replay)

Photo Moment - May 25, 2021

The GH5 II and GH6 have been announced… let's talk bout them!

    This is a replay of the LIVE show! I go live every Tuesday 10am Pacific or Wednesday 9pm Pacific (or some other random time if those don't work out) for a show of random chattering and meandering tech. It's a great place to get any lingering questions you have, answered!

    Subscribe to the NEW PhotoJoseph LIVE YouTube channel!

    This is a new channel (as of March 2021) where all live activity will be happening.

    1. Years and years, still no mention of the two magic words "Phase" and "Detect" 😭
    2. Need all those livestreaming features and unlimited recording in the G9 firmware update, and not sure how much different the GH5mark2 is compared with such as G9 (which is 3+ years old). Be honest Panasonic please, the G9 has the same internals and externals as the GH5mark2, right? Same sensor, same processor, mostly everything is same. Isn't it? Also, the G9 does not overheat I have filmed thousands of videos with my unlimited recording hack (only works on firmware 1.2, thus I am not upgrading my firmware) on my G9 and it has never overheated. So I am just quite sure, that 10min official 4K60 limit, is only there to differentiate GH5/GH5mark2/GH5S vs G9, it's not nice to put such artificial limit in there!
    @photojoseph Got ya!!
    👍🏻
    Great work @photojoseph!! Love this. Small correction at 32:40, the new high capacity battery does work in the original GH5. The only thing that isn't cross-compatible is the old battery won't charge on the new battery charger...other than that, all batteries work in the GH5 and GH5II and the old and new batteries both charge on the new charger.
    Oh wow! Ok, I definitely did not know that! So why the extra ridge? Weird! Thanks man!
