Tethering custom rename issue #1

I'm having an issue custom renaming files while shooting tethered. The default presets work fine but my custom ones do not. I want to confirm if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong or missing. The naming convention has to be quite specific… ie. Customname_ Year_Month_ Day_Hour_ Minute_Second.jpg

I'm using a 5D Mk 2 with the latest version of Aperture in Mac OS 10.7.4.

Any insight or help anyone can give will be much appreciated.

Richie

Richard,

We believe this to be a bug. Check the earlier thread on the topic here: Tethered shooting.

Your report though that the default naming presets work, but your custom ones don’t is interesting. I don’t know that any of us tried the built-in presets. I’m going to test that myself.

Ugh I haven’t had a chance to test this… if anyone can, could you let us know if you are able to rename on tethering using the built-in presets, as Richard reported?

thanks
-Joseph
