When tethering and shooting - how can it go to the next frame when shooting either by using the cable on the camera or with the computer tether window? It does not work all the time and then I have to use the arrow on the computer to see the next frame instead of it appearing automatically.

When you start a session make sure the “auto select” box is checked in the tether window.
sometimes stopping and restarting the session (checking the auto select box) will reset the auto select.
