I'd like to export my slideshows in something other than H.264 or MPEG4 format. In iPhoto I can export to AIC or Prores. I can't see where this is possible with Aperture. Am I missing something? If it's not possible, does anyone have a good work-around?

Hi Mike,

The only way I have found to do it is to export it out as a H.264 or Mpeg4 format and then use a third party converter.

Joseph has written a article about sharing a video to youtube, I am not too sure if you could modify it to achieve what you are looking for.

Cheers,

Chris

Michael,

The post that Chris is referring to is Aperture 3.1 + iLife ‘11 Slideshows, plus Publishing to YouTube Tips.

I agree it’s odd that you can’t export uncompressed or even ProRes from Aperture. I don’t know of any way around it.
