replacing missing references files with their previews

I recently lost many of my photos due to disk failure. But, not all is bad. The way I managed my photo library in aperture is by using references on a server. So “Aperture Library” file actually holds many of my photos is very high preview format (for example one of the missing picture was 6000x4000 and the previews is 3000x2000, not bad).

Here is what I want to achieve (maybe with a script?): I want for each missing reference that Aperture will save the preview instead in the original location.

Any idea? Should I consider some script?

I have the exact same problem. Lost my masters, but the previews still show up in Aperture. Unfortunately, the Aperture folder structure is too confusing to navigate to find previews to export and keep them organized.

Please share any solutions you may find.
