Is there a way to globally remove duplicate photos in Aperture 3.1.3?

Thanks,

Bob

I’ve done it before as a two step process:

  1. use a pgrm outside of A3 to find and remove dup files. I used ‘Araxis Find Duplicate Files’ - am sure there are many options.
  2. Use a smart album to then find all orphaned versions in my A3 library, and then delete them.

This words with my referenced library. Not sure if it would work with a managed library.

Thanks, Steve.  I’ve looked at Araxis and it looks like it might be useful to me.  I’ll download it and give it a try.

I’m relatively new to Aperture but I’m really surprised that it doesn’t have an indwelling de-dup feature.

Anyone else have options that they have used?
