I've tried to locate the aperture.plist file to remove it and restart AP, but the file does not exist…. anywhere. How can this be? It makes no sense that there is no plist file!

Any suggestions?

The Library is a hidden folder. Open Finder, then in the Menu Bar, select Go, Hold down the alt/option Key the Library folder will appear click it, click Preferences, do your search from there.

Did you look for: “com.apple.Aperture.plist” ?
