I’ve been using the Creative Cloud for Photography program from Adobe ever since they got some sense (i.e. fixing the price at $9.99 a month).
I’ve been considering lately purchasing the stand-alone version of Lr (my CC plan is due for renewal the end of this month) and using something other than Photoshop. I’ve played with Affinity Photo - it might work. Any other thoughts/suggestions as to alternates?….or just stick with Photoshop due to Lr and PS CC being tightly integrated?
I’m not impressed with Lightroom and my renewal is up soon too. My 2 favorites are DXO Optics and OneOne Photo. After decades of Photoshop, I’m tired of working photos and want the software to be easy. Lightroom is still Adobe difficult. I plan to manage my photos with Apple Photos and edit with extensions.

Just a warning, cancelling a cc subscription is very awkward. I think I only managed it as my card number had changed since I took a out the plan….
Eventually got told ignore the emails and they will give up. Now have a Mac which is completely Adobe free - no flash, acrobat, Lightroom, photoshop at all…..
Fortunately, didn’t run into any issues cancelling the CC subscription and getting Lr as a stand-alone.
FWIW, found several app’s that do a much better job at cloning than PS CC did - Affinity Photo and MacPhun Snapheal
