I am wondering what the best way to sharpen my images? I have tried both edge sharpen and sharpen and just can’t seem to get that little pop that I am looking for. I mainly shoot portraits and weddings. I don’t want to go back and forth with Photoshop to sharpen.

Thanks for the help!!

What plug-ins would you suggest?

Aric,

Check out Sharpener Pro from Nik Software. I have only dabbled with it myself, but I generally like everything from Nik. They do a great job.

Aric,

There’s no easy answer here, but Edge Sharpening is generally better than Sharpening. Also I suggest you try Definition under the Enhance tab. That enhances contrast between edges and increases the perceived sharpness. Finally, there are several sharpening plug-ins that go beyond what you can do in Aperture on its own.

Good luck!
