I can’t seem to sync my photos on my iPad or see them on my apple TV any more.  Did Apple do something with all their updates to break this?

If you turn on iCloud Photo Library on your iPad, you can no longer sync with Aperture or iPhoto through iTunes. You can check this in the Settings->iCloud->Photos on your iPad (or iPhone).

AppleTV still only works with the old Photo Stream iCloud service. For me it is getting kind of useless. It is very slow and sometimes won’t show any Photo Stream photos after many minutes. I don’t use it much lately.

Hi Tom:

Thanks for your answer. That did the trick.  The main reason have an Apple TV is to view pictures I have in Aperture on my TV.  I was so bummed when that stopped working.  I migrated my Aperture library to the new Photos app and that worked with the Apple TV but I have to say after using Aperture for yrs I am not happy with the Photos.  I will stay with Aperture for as long as I can.  I have to decide if going to light room to maintain file management and functionality is worth loosing the Apple TV connection.
