I recently delivered a LIVE virtual event at B&H on the new LUMIX GH5 II, primarily covering the differences between the new GH5 II and the original GH5. If you're considering this camera, you'll definitely want to watch this replay!

Event Description

The Panasonic LUMIX GH5 II is here! Building off the amazing GH5, the new GH5 II adds important and powerful capabilities to an already amazing camera. In this special event, PhotoJoseph will guide you through the new features, compare to the original GH5, and explain how these new abilities can be applied to your film production.

We’ll talk about included V-Log and the new AR sensor coating. The ability to shoot C4K in 422 10-bit up to 29.97fps, C4K 420 10-bit up to 60p — without cropping — and even simultaneous 10-bit internal recording and HDMI output! New and updated photo styles make non-Log footage even more interesting. For anamorphic shooters, the desqueeze preview and reorganization of anamorphic features will be very welcome. Did you know you can live stream from the camera itself? Talk about adding another offering to your professional services! Which makes another new feature, the ability to power the camera indefinitely over USB, very interesting and convenient. Improved autofocus with head, body and animal detection makes AF better than ever, and the higher refresh rate and brighter LCD makes the image better looking and easier to see. And you’ll be shooting longer with the updated battery (but don’t worry, you can still use all your old GH5 batteries, too!). We’ll also talk about the powerhouse duo lenses, the 10-25mm f/1.7 and 25-50mm f/1.7, and what makes these such a superb pair of lenses to own and the perfect companion to your GH5 II!
