Different values for "Original Filename" placeholder #1

Hi,

During import of my RAW files each version gets a name that includes the “Original Filename” concatinated with a custom text by using a template. The value for “Original Filename” does not include the extension “.CR2” of the imported RAW file.

Today, I had made a typo in the custom text during the import process. So, I wanted to rename my versions by using Batch Change using the same template as used during import, the one containing the “Original Filename” placeholder. I noticed a different value for the “Original Filename”. It does contain the “.CR2” extension of the RAW file.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what is going on here and how to get around this different behavior?

I use the latest Aperture version 3.5.1
