My Desktop and Screen Saver just stopped using my Aperture Library.  When I open System Preferences, Desktop and Screen Saver, I see Folders/Pictures - and nothing further.  Clicking the ‘+’ sign reveals the location of my Aperture Library, but it is ‘greyed’ out.  Does anyone have a solution?

I don’t have a solution, but I’ll add that I’ve been having the same issue for well over two years now. My library is not on my boot drive, so I assumed that something in one of the OS updates broke that. Is your library in the Pictures folder on your boot drive?

Only thing I can think of is make sure “Share XML with other applications:” is not set to “Never”. This is the Aperture Preferences/Previews dialog below.

That did the trick for me - after restarting. Although my Previews sharing pref says “Share previews with iLife and iWork.”

Many thanks, Thomas :-)
