Creating a watermark to use in Aperture #1

Hi - can anyone suggest a suitable application to create a watermark that I can then apply in Aperture 3? I don't need anything too fancy, just my name really. I don't have any other picture applications (unless they came free and I haven't noticed).

Thanks

Jonathan,

The ol’ standard is Photoshop, but obviously a very expensive option for just doing watermarks. You can check out Photoshop Elements, which I’m sure will do what you need, too.

Also check out Acorn as well as Pixelmator; both very capable apps that may give you what you need, for a LOT less money. I haven’t used either of them personally but they do get discussed a bit around here. Worth looking into for sure.
