Has anyone used PowerPhotos with the Mac App Photos.  Here is a description of the App

“When using the Photos app to organize photos on your Mac, PowerPhotos allows you to break your photos up among multiple Photos libraries, rather than having to store all of your photos in one giant library. You can easily switch between libraries, or just browse the photos in your libraries directly from PowerPhotos, without having to open each library in Photos. PowerPhotos also supports searching across all your libraries at once to help track down a particular photo.”

it’s supposed to helps with DAM side

Any feedback on this App, has anyone tried it

The basic function of these apps, multiple libraries, is covered by holding down the option key while opening Photos. Further bells and whistles might be attractive to some. There will be more of these.

I was hoping it would work like its iPhoto predecessor and would allow you to merge and separate libraries. But alas it can’t do that - at least in the 1.0 version. Last I checked (several months ago) the author wanted to add that capability but couldn’t promise it was possible.

The other things it does are nice but not that earth shattering for the price.

If they can add the merging capability I’ll take another look at it.
