Change the year only on photos in folder #1

I have a folder for each year of photos,  some of those folder have photos with different years (so 2001, will have photos with dates from 2001, 2004, 2010) depending  on when they were scanned and taken.  In changing the year using the batch tool, they get adjusted relatively.  So if I select the year to be 2001, the photos selected would have the data changed to 2001 but then the other photos would be changed to a different year.  Is there a way to force the photos to all have the same year?

Regards,
Jeff

I have a similar but different question.

My camera had the wrong year set, so when the images were imported to AP the date was wrong. In the camera the year was 2000 should have been 2014.

So in AP they are dated 2000.

My question is,  Can 2000 be changed to 2014?

What’s the “batch tool” you speak of?

I don’t intend to highjack your thread. I think the answer could help us both.

Cheers

Britt

Here is what I had to do.  Under metadata menu there is an option to “Adjust date and time”.  It adjusts everything in the database relative to the data you selected.   So if you choose one photo from 2000 and one from 2001 and change the yearof the 2000 photo to 2001, then the photo from 2001 will have a year of 2002.  So I selected each photo separately and then adjusted the date.

BrittRunyonPhotography:   If you need to change your photos from 2000 to 2014 you would select the photos you wanted to change and then use the adjust date and time from the metadata menu.

Hope that helps.
