Is there a document that explains what the various items in Aperture’s pull down menu’s do? In particular I am interested 3 items in the File Menu; Relocate Original.., Consolidate Original.., and Locate Reference File.., When I query these in the Help menu I get 0 response.
If you search for ‘relocate original’ and then choose ‘Show all help topics’ you should get your results. :) Or search the topic ‘Work with referenced images’.
in short:
Relocate Original: move referenced originals to new locations on the same hard disk or a different hard disk
Consolidate Original: move or copy originals of referenced images to the library
Locate Reference File: manually reconnect referenced images if it was modified in some way that makes it unrecognizable for Aperture as the original referenced image to automatically reconnect
