I know this is a little bit away from what many of us are concerned with this weekend (the death of our beloved Aperture), but I need help if possible. Whenever attempting to update my Vault it keeps freezing when the bar has just passed the 50% mark. It’s indicating that Aperture is updating previews and will sit there for hours without moving. Several times I performed all three “rebuilding” processes (after opening Aperture with option-command held down). I have also rebuilt permissions on the entire computer and checked the drive that the vault is on. Everything seems to check out just fine. I am running on a relatively new 27 inch iMac, i7, 3TB fusion drive with 32GB RAM. Any suggestions? Perhaps a plist somewhere that I can trash? I’m running out of ideas.

Update – Don’t know what else to do, went out and bought a new external hard drive, created a new Vault in Aperture. I hope this works. It told me there were 14,000 + originals to copy. It’s been doing that for a couple hours now with spinning beach ball. I don’t recall if this is normal or not.
