Highlight Hot and Cold Area issue #1

Using Aperture 3.4.3 - when attempting to identify over and/or underexposed areas on a photography with VIEW –> HIGHLIGHT HOT AND COLD AREAS, instead of being able to see those problem areas highlighted in red and blue imposed over the actual photo, I am getting those red & blue highlighted areas overlaying a solid dark blue background which hides the actual photograph.

I may have inadvertently turned some feature on (or off) but would like to be able to actually view the photo image that I'm working on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

@mpallet. To correct your problem go to Aperture preferences and then advanced. Check your settings for Hot area threshold and Cold area threshold. Sounds like your cold area threshold is set to high. Bring it down some and see if that fixes your issue.

G Mitchell - thank you for your response; it was exactly the correct solution to this issue.

Thanks, again,
