Wacom tablet scrolling #1

Just bought a Wacom Pen and Touch tablet. Natural scrolling works the same as Apple in the vertical direction, but opposite in the horizontal. So imagine pressing 'Z' in Aperture then:

push up moves the canvas up; down moves it down
push right moves it LEFT and push left moves it RIGHT

I'm running Lion 10.7.4 which has been freshly installed a week ago on a 24-inch iMac that I zapped and reinstalled from scratch a fortnight ago, so it's almost pristine. Wacom's user forum is full of (slightly different) complaints about lack of OS X compatibility and it seems Wacom aren't addressing any of them.

Any thoughts before I send the wretched thing back?

Thanks @gfsymon. I had just trained myself to work with the tablet, but this little bit of software seems to have done the trick.

Thanks @gfsymon

Now has anybody worked out how to get three finger drag working with it? Not much fun trying to work on two trackpads simultaneously. I can’t believe just how bad this device is!

Probably should have done a little research before buying? I love my Capture and it handles everything I need it to do. And why 3 finger drag when there’s 1 finger, shown in the above link.

Well as gfsymon says the bragging only works with the model at five times the price. Why three-fingered drag? Well that’s what my Mac trackpad does and unlike you young people my brain can’t adapt to two different sets of gestures depending on whether I’m using the Air or the iMac.

I’m not sure that any practicable amount of research when spending GBP70 would have revealed that the tablet which is even sold in Apple shops wasn’t compatible with OS X. Other reviews have generally said it’s ok although when people have commented they’ve said “buy the expensive one” without being terribly clear why apart from resolution.

Anyway, anyone looking to see if they want a Pen and Touch on the premier Aperture website will at least now know that it only makes sense if they’re going to use it to replace a mouse and don’t intend to use a laptop trackpad as well. They may also wish to think twice when Wacom can leave bugs in their software for several months at a time.

But the pen only version may be of use to some.

Thank you for thinking about wacom-tablet-scrolling I unfortunately could not listen to the instructions in full, although ordering it in

https://bestresearchpaper.com/ it seemed to me that she was a rather interesting instrumentalist and could generally solve the problem with the tablet
